Tha Roof Tha Roof is on FIRE

So my mattress was forfeited the other day to accommodate a friend and after being removed I began the moving process.  Things started piling up all over the place…one pile for Africa another for DC another pile of things to stay and one more for give-away items.  Needless to say it was an absolute mess. So the mattress would not fit back in the room…and then my week began.  My weeks consist of me running around like a decapitated chicken, the room didn’t get any cleaner and my ability to fit the mattress back in was still impossible.  I had resorted to sleeping on the couch upstairs (my room is in the basement).  So on Monday night I was sleeping on the couch, I got to sleep around one (which is really quite earlier than usual) and all of a sudden I bolted upright around three AM.  This is not a usual occurrence for me so I thought that maybe I wasn’t feeling well or I needed to move and sleep on the floor in my bedroom or possibly I hadn’t eaten all day so my body was letting me know I needed to get some nutritional sustenance.  I decided it was all three so I went to the kitchen, made some toast, took ibuprofen, and began the descent to my room where my clothing covered floor was calling my name.  As I got closer to my room I smelled burning. I opened the door and due to the extreme untidiness I must have stepped on my curling iron on accident and flipped the switch to the on position (while it was sitting on my carpet!). Luckily the iron only burned holes in two skirts and didn’t actually damage the carpet but can you imagine if I had been asleep for longer!!! I could have burned the house down!!! So my rude awakening was in fact for none of the reasons I took care of….it was in fact so that I didn’t kill my roommates.  I then went to bed with a full belly, nothing inflamed (not that there was anything wrong with me before I took the ibuprofen), and on top of a pile of burned skirts.
